TCI Helicopters Ltd opened its doors in the beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands in November 2009. The owners also have a helicopter service operation, Buffalo Aerial Services, in British Columbia, Canada which has been operating since 2003.
The owners Dietrich Peters and Susan Bradley first came to the Turks and Caicos Islands in 2005 on vacation and fell in love with the Islands and were greatly impressed and comforted by the friendliness of the local people. The couple immediately recognized the islands would benefit from the availability of a helicopter, not just for the tourism industry but for local businesses, government agencies, Medevacs and disaster preparedness and relief assistance.
As part of their commitment to the Turks and Caicos Islands, the owners have provided a substantial financial donation to the Hurricane Relief Fund following the devastating effects of Hurricane Ike in 2008 and continue to provide donations to various fundraising events in the Islands, in particular the Salvation Army, Red Cross and the Emergency Medical Services.
Here in the Turks and Caicos Islands, the company currently operates a Bell 206 Jet Ranger helicopter, which seats up to 4 passengers plus pilot. The Jet Ranger has a phenomenal track record in terms of operating in the industry. Our Jetranger has emergency floats and it is Medevac equipped.
